I look forward to the Anniversary Sale each year because a) I’m a Nordstrom cardholder so get dibs on some good stuff, and b) because I can stock up on trendy items that I would normally not spend the money on. And while the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale does have a ton of big ticket items, I tend towards the less expensive items… say, under $100 for most things (if not under $50).

With that being said, here are my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale favorites for 2018! Right now, only Nordstrom cardholders will be able to make Sale purchases–public access starts July 20th! The sale goes until August 5th, and after that, all of the prices will most definitely go up to their normal price.

I spent almost as much time planning my outfits in London and Paris than I did planning the trip activities. I was planning on bringing a carry-on and nothing else, so I needed to be strategic!

My strategy consisted of 2 things: repetition and dresses. I packed about 5 or 6 dresses, and 2 jackets (a denim jacket and a faux leather one). If you can’t tell from my London post, I wore this blue dress about 1,000 times. Unfortunately, I can’t find it online, but here are a few similar ones!

I also packed only 3 pairs of shoes: one pair of sandals, one pair of chunky heels (which I didn’t end up wearing), and white sneakers. I wore these sneakers almost every day of the trip minus one, and they far exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort and style. They looked cute with every outfit (at least I think so), and my feet were never tired or achy. I can’t recommend them enough! Also, any scuff marks on them quickly came out with a magic eraser.

I also bought this purse that I had had my eye on for a while… it turned out to perfectly fit everything we needed during the trip, including my Sony a6000 camera (review of that here). Every day, I carried 2 phones (my personal phone and our Insidr phone), a backup charger, gum, sunglasses, and my camera. I’m so glad I purchased this Cuyana bag before our trip!

Another staple of my travel wardrobe was this sweater and these jeans. I love these jeans because they are very comfortable and high waisted! Unfortunately I don’t have photos of the sweater, I think because I only wore it when the weather was terrible, ha!

Lastly, I packed my new Away suitcase which I LOVED. I got the bigger carry-on, and it was perfect for this trip. You can get $20 off of yours by following this link!

Overall, I probably could have packed even less than I did for the trip! My strategy of only packing staple items really worked out well. Let me know if you have any questions or need suggestions on what to pack for your trip!
