this & that, volume 14

As always, it’s been a minute, hasn’t it? Moving to New York was… intense. Moving across the country is hard enough, but moving to the craziest city in the country was even harder! But we’ve been here 3 months now… where has the time gone?

We have pretty much adjusted to big city life at this point (it was an adjustment even for this Chicago girl), and I’m starting to fall into routines. I have my favorite coffee shop (Joe Coffee Co), most-loved ice cream parlor (Van Leeuwen, scoop of Honeycomb in a sugar cone), and most frequented Thai delivery places (Sala Thai on the UWS). New York has finally begun to feel like home!

This summer has been absolutely insane in the best possible way. I had 3 bachelorette parties, 1 wedding, and 2 sets of parents visiting. All in the span of 1 month. My own bachelorette party is next weekend and then one of my best friends is getting married 2 weeks later… and THEN I can relax.

The one thing that’s been keeping me so sane during this hectic time is reading. I’ve been devouring books lately! All the books I’ve read and loved are linked here on my Amazon page, should you want to check them out.

I’ve been getting a lot of reading from some of my favorite places lately: Cup of Jo, Hitha’s 5 Smart Reads Newsletter, and Grace’s weekly newsletters.
